I personally do not have any social network sites but it looks as if the black Friday sales will be based on them according to the blog: http://blog.logos.com/2012/10/black-friday-you-choose-the-deals/
Looks like you might have to jump on the bandwagon of the twenty-first century.[;)]
To vote at least.
I am on social media, but I don't really like the idea of cluttering up the news feed with me liking/sharing several items in Logos. It annoys me when other people do it and I don't like the idea of sharing/liking books that I intend to read.
and for every 1,500 Likes racked up across Logos.com, we’ll drop those products’ prices by 10%.But with all the classic commentaries coming out in a single day, i doubt I'll have any money to spend on myself.[:P]

I'm not either.

Yes, I was getting the classic commentaries, but now I am going to be selective with them and only get the ones where I do not have many commentaries on the book such as Revelation. I do not like that on November 12 there are a ton of them being released. I know some users have voiced concern over this practice, but Logos isn't listening. So, I will just simply remove some products I was going to buy but cannot. Classic commentaries are not the only thing in my prepubs.

...cluttering others' newsfeeds with my stuff.

... classic commentaries... I do not like that on November 12 there are a ton of them being released.
I dislike it to the point that I'm honoring my commitment to complete the purchase of the CCs, but I'm not bidding on any other collections. Probably won't for awhile...
do we have to "like" on the facebook link? From what I can see, none of the good resources are "liked" by at least 1500 people... Or maybe I missed a point here?
I think it's the number of likes across all resources totaled. The total number of likes for all resources will determine the percentage off for the entire sale. Then the top "liked" resources will be chosen for that percentage to be applied to.
I agree. Giving something a like every once and a while is reasonable, but liking Logos several times a month to enter some contest or to get some discount is just getting out of hand. We need to encourage them to come up with a more reasonable marketing program than using our social media identities to spam our friends.
