Using Logos' Support/Artilces pages

While trying to learn about Personal Books, I navigated to Logos' support articles page (http://www.logos.com/support/articles) and then to the Windows specific page (http://www.logos.com/support/windows) . I could not find any help for personal books on either page.

However, if I log on to the wiki page, it has this link: http://www.logos.com/support/windows/L4/Personal_Book_FAQ , which is a Logos article page with helpful information.

Why could I not find this on Logos' support article pages?

Did I do something wrong?

Or are there other helpful articles I am missing because I do not understand how the site is set up?

Hi Chuck

the Logos support pages are maintained by Logos whereas most of the wiki articles are provided by users and volunteers.

In general, detailed information is held in the wiki while overview information is in the Logos support articles - although this is a real generalisation.

Sometimes, as you note, wiki articles point off to Logos-generated information.

The page you found on Logos is the only support page that I'm aware of. The wiki page I linked to has much more detailed information. That's the purpose of the wiki is to add more information on how to do things.

I was not sure why I could not find anything on Logos' web site. And when I was linked back to it; it made me wonder what other useful bits may exist on Logos' pages that I do not know and have no way of knowing about.

I'm afraid I have no idea. In my over two years on these forums I have virtually never seen anyone link to Logos' support pages, so I would assume virtually none of us use them. We tend to link to Mark Barnes' videos, the Wiki, and other forum posts.

You can click on the word Articles to get to more articles, but from what I see, many, perhaps most, of them seem to lead to the Wiki or the forums. And, well...:

It's more than a year since 4.3 was 'recent'. We're at 4.6 now...

I missed it because I did not click on the Support Tab, which brings up the page you pointed to.

I clicked on "Support Articles" on the Support Tab and then on Windows support.

The link I posted (despite it being copied directly from the URL) is a different page than the one I got following the steps I listed above.

If I click on the link in your post and mine; the URL ends with a close parenthesis " ) " which seems to be the difference between the page you saw and the page I saw.

Thanks again for your help. I do use and greatly appreciate the wiki.
