I'm still on Windows XP. Any idea what features or things I'm missing? (I plan on getting on Windows 8 by early next year or sooner.)
what do you mean? Are you running Logos 4? It can run on XP. I am running Vista and 7. A friend of mine thinks 8 will "be another Vista." hope not!
I'm referring to Logos' announcement that they'll no longer support XP after 10/26/2012, I think - which means XP users may not be able to take advantage of some features, IIRC.
We haven't shipped any program updates or resources that don't work on XP.
(Even 4.6a SR-2, shipped on Oct 29, still supports Windows XP.)
Up to this point, you are good. L4.6a is fully XP compatible. Future versions (non service release) may not be so.
I don't ever upgrade the operating system. I just upgrade the system every few years and the new operating system comes with it.

Logos 5. Due to Microsoft's decision to not support Windows XP for .Net Framework 4.5, Logos 5 cannot run on Windows XP.
Edit: installing .NET Framework 4.5 upgrades .NET Framework 4.0, which can be used with Logos 4.6a. On a Windows 7 computer, personally have one user account for Logos 5 and another account for Logos 4.6a along with an account for Libronix 3.0g
