Logos 4 download problems I need help

After you've removed all versions of .NET, you might want to make sure your system is up to date by running Windows Update. See if that produces any errors.

BTW, you should only need the installer from:

http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=22

It includes all updates.

What version of Windows are you on?

I running XP pro...2002

Teh first ting the Logos Tech had me do was update windows which I did

both in hte typical and the custom mode

in the typical mode....the web site analyzer said I didn't need any updates

but in the custom mode it said I needed .Net 3.5 frame work

So I tried to install it and I recevied the same error...

but at your request I just tried it again and it once again in the custom mode told me I should down load .NET 3.5

so I just tried it again and received the same message...

What is the precise error message?

Is there a "more information" link or anything like that?

Is there an error Number?

I had this problem recently in a virtual machine and I'm trying to find the link that I used to clean it up.

I'm googling as I go here, but do you have these files:

C:\Windows\Temp\dd_dotnetfx35install.txt
C:\Windows\Temp\dd_dotnetfx35error.txt
C:\Windows\Temp\dd_depcheck_netfx*.txt

If so, can you post them here as an attachment?

Went to Windows up date...

downed loaded .net Frame.....

Received the same error message

I would suggest that you

Do a System Restore back to a time before you started trying to install L4/ NET.
Reboot
Go to Start, then to Run, and type in "SFC.EXE /SCANNOW" (without the quotes - and with a space between the SFC.EXE and the /SCANNOW). The press Enter.
Reboot
Repeat the steps on the MS knowledgebase article part one
Reboot
Repeat the steps on the MS knowledgebase article part two
Reboot
set a system restore point
Try installing Net 3.5sp1 again.

I know this is long, but you have something that is wrong and this is the only way I can "easily" think to erase it without going back through the whole process.
