Logos.com Frustration

Okay, so I like the look of the new website. HOWEVER, MOST of the website loads very slowly....some of it does not load at all. Can someone explain this please? I have tried the site in Safari, Firefox, and Chrome, and the pages load just as slowly (if at all) in all three of them. For example, I have tried searching for a resource, and it's like the website froze.....because the page won't load....at all.

They are getting much greater volume on the web site tonight than they ever have before, or that they tested for, due to Logos 5 introduction.

    Caleb,

I think Logos has had website issues today, causing problems earlier in the day and spilling over to now. I know Logos has lots and lots of users accessing their website, causing slowdowns and such. It's rough now but will get better as less people try to access the site at the same time.

Alright. I wasn't sure if it was the new design or not. I DO know that the previous version DID load slower than the one before it. And that Logos.com never got faster. Although, it seems as though it loaded faster on Firefox not on Chrome...never understood why, though. I hope this version of the website loads faster than its predecessor did on Chrome. Heh. But I will have to check it again another day.

Oh and ANOTHER frustration: How on earth did my post count drop?????? If you look at my posting history, it is HIGHER than 19!!! Can the counter be corrected?

    Sorry about that!

The dynamic pricing engine has to do an incredible number of look-ups to check what you own against the new collections. We knew this, but didn't quite predict the server load correctly. Our team (some of whom were here all last night) will be up tonight bringing new hardware online and moving the bottle-necked database to a larger server. By morning we should have much better performance.

    I'm sorry for the inconvenience!

Understandable, but I still think you're losing the race with the snail.

Did you perhaps change your email address with Logos?

If so you hit a known forum bug. Your best bet is to drop a note on David Ladiges page but at this point, I would not expect a quick restore. (He's a little busy with the website).

Hmm Sarcasm is my love language. Obviously I love you.

One way to clear the counter is to change your e-mail address. The new address begins at zero.

The counter can be corrected manually by Logos staff, but you can imagine how busy they must be right now. <grin>
