Some of the new features sound interesting. I looked at the videos on YouTube. My concern is what do you lose in going to L5. I started with L4 but I understand that there are well liked features from L3 that never came to L4. Soooo? What's missing?
David, absolutely nothing is missing from L4 in L5. You gain, but do not lose.
really a good question. The answer: NOTHING.
The move from L4 to L5 uses the same platform underneath so nothing had to be replaced. Everything that was in L4 is in L5.
I'm going to have to type faster to keep up with Mark.
Thanks for the information. Have you used it yourself to be sure?
Expanding just a bit on what has been said: L3 to L4 was a dramatic shift, completely redone platform. L4 to L5 is more evolutionary: a direct continuation of what came before. In a manner of speaking, L4 was Logos reimagined, L5 is L4 enhanced.

Mark and I have both used L4 and L5.
Yes, in beta testing for about six weeks if I remember the time span correctly.
I did not mean to sound skeptical. I have upgraded on other Bible Software and lost the best features. Once burned twice shy.
No harm in asking.
If you realllly want to play cautious, you can create a separate account on your computer and install L4 there as a backup (Quick Installation onto multiple computers) then upgrade to 5.

Thanks!!!
NOTE: that you'll have to set use internet to NO on the L4 installation or it will automatically upgrade to L5.

On Windows 7, have Libronix 3.0g, Logos 4.6a, and Logos 5.0 installed using several accounts. Thankful for option of using Logos 5.0 and Libronix 3.0g at the same time in one user account. In a different account, can use Logos 4.6a and Libronix 3.0g together.
Keep Smiling [:)]
Setting Automatic Updates to No should be enough, shouldn't it?

You are correct. My fingers were working faster than my brain.
I am going to bed.
Upgraded Logos 4.6a SR-1 to Logos 4.6a SR-2 today in one user account on Windows 7 using automatic upgrade.
For Logos 4 updates to be viable for Windows XP, the update channel feed cannot be changed to Logos 5.
