A: Logos is the world’s leading Bible software. Its massive networked libraries, fast searches, original language tools, and helpful Bible-knowledge features connect you to the Word. No matter what device you’re using—Windows, Mac, iPhone, iPad, or Android—you can take your Christian library anywhere.
A: Logos 5’s smart tools connect you to the Word. You can explore your Bibles and theological library, dig into the original languages, craft powerful messages, and conduct scholarly research. Here is a list, along with a brief summary, of the new features in Logos 5.
A: The best place to begin is logos.com/videos. You’ll also want to read the Logos blog, where we explain many of the new features in Logos 5. In addition, we have an active community of forum userswho are eager to teach new users how to get the most out of our software. Finally, you may want to consider attending a Camp Logos seminar with authorized trainer Morris Proctor.
A: You keep them all! You won’t lose any books by upgrading. In fact, the Discount Calculatoranalyzes the books you already own, so your current library counts as credit toward your Logos 5 base package.
A: Absolutely not! Your books may actually count as credit toward your Logos 5 purchase. You can see your custom pricing with the Discount Calculator.
A: Yes! Be sure to sign in to take advantage of the best prices available. We have special upgrade discounts for previous users, and a thriving academic discount program for students and educational faculty.
A: You should upgrade to take advantage of the best value you may ever encounter on a library, and to make sure you have the latest and greatest tools for Bible study. The new base packages almost all contain thousands of dollars of new content for pennies on the dollar.
What’s more, upgrading has never been such a terrific deal. The new Discount Calculator tallies all your resources and creates a custom discount toward your new base package. You only pay for the new content—nothing more.
A: No. Your existing Libronix DLS & Logos 4 books will move with you to Logos 5. You don’t have to repurchase them.
A: If you have already activated/unlocked your Logos 4 resources, Logos will automatically download those resources from our servers, along with the base package that you purchased. You can also load books from your Logos 4 disks by putting them into your drive and typing “Scan DVD” into the Command Bar in Logos. Restart Logos to begin the scanning of the disk.
A: All the Logos Bible Software base packages have been reconfigured with new content. For a complete list of the exact contents in each package, visit our base packages page.
A: The EULA is the license every user agrees to when he or she purchases and installs a copy of Logos Bible Software. In essence, it says that your base package is yours for your own personal use. You can use it on your PC, Mac, iPad, iPhone, Android, and other devices at home or at work—but you alone have the license. Read a copy of the license agreement for more information.
A: If you don’t have high-speed internet, you can purchase any of our base packages on DVD. The difference is that you’ll have to wait for your package to arrive, and you’ll need a DVD-ROM drive to install it. Most users prefer to download the software instead. Your Logos Bible Software download begins instantly, as soon as your purchase is complete, and can be redownloaded at any time as needed.
Note: if you purchase a DVD copy, you can still download the software later. You will receive a DVD and attached serial number with your order, for activation. It will not be possible to download your library until this serial number has been activated.
A: Most nondownload orders typically arrive in 5–7 business days. Please allow extra time for delivery during the holiday season.
A: Your web login is the email address you used to register at Logos.com. Your user-created password was entered during the new user registration process. Both email address and password can be changed once you have logged in to your Logos web account.
If you have forgotten your password, you can reset it online by entering your email address. If you do not have access to your email account anymore, contact customer support by phone at (800) 875-6467 or by email at support@logos.com.
A: For step-by-step instructions, visit our installation guide, and be sure to check out the technical FAQ for more information—system requirements, space requirements, download sizes, and more.
A: Logos Bible Software allows you to build a library tailored to your specific study needs. In addition to the books included in base packages, there are thousands more books from over 150 publishers in the Logos ebook format. Logos.com features tens of thousands of books, and with more coming in through Pre-Pub and Community Pricing all the time, it’s your best source for the newest titles. All online purchases will require you to sign in to Logos.com. If you don’t have a current Logos.com account, you will need to register. Be sure to fill in all required fields. Returning users should sign in before shopping. (See previous question about the web login and password).
A: Logos Bible Software takes a new approach to interlinears. They are no longer separate resources—now they’re integrated into many of the English Bibles in your library. Visit our interlinear Bibles page for more information.
A: Logos Bible Software uses advanced resource prioritization to determine which books are searched and displayed first in any situation. This means you can favor certain resources over others. Just open your library, click “Prioritize,” and drag in your favorite books.
A: Logos comes with help files within the software. Open the help files by clicking on the question mark icon at the top-right corner of the program, typing Help in the Command Bar, or pressing the F1 key.
Training articles and tutorial videos are available online. A tutorial CD is included in all Logos Bible Software 5 base packages on DVD-ROM. Morris Proctor, an independent professional trainer who conducts Camp Logos seminars, has also written a two-volume Logos Bible Software training manual.
You can learn about Logos on logos.com/logos5, logos.com/videos, the Logos blog, and the Logos community forums.
A: Logos Bible Software publishes electronic books only—no print editions. The one exception is Fire Someone Today: And Other Surprising Tactics for Making Your Business a Success, which was written by Bob Pritchett, CEO and cofounder of Logos.
A: No. Logos Bible Software has been rewritten as a new, separate application. It stores its own resources in its own folders, so there is no danger in removing the older Logos 4 application.
A: There’s far more to the Logos 5 experience than the new core engine, which is free. Much of what makes Logos 5 shine is tied to resources and databases that come with our new Logos 5 base packages.
A: The upgrade cost is tied to the massive amounts of data that enable features like Clause Search and Bible Facts to work. Our Content Innovation team has gone through the Bible, intelligently tagging pronouns to referents, preaching themes to passages, biblical people to events, and the like. You gain access to these enormous sets of connections when you buy Logos 5.
Thanks TC. I was about to do that, but you beat me to it.

Very helpful, guys. Still, even better would be the thread title in ALLCAPS and the thread pinned at the top of the forum.
