bibliography tool

*Loving Logos 5. The text of my resources is displaying much more crisply--less eye strain. This and clause search are my favorite new things. With that said...*

The bibliography tool is still not very helpful for one primary reason: It doesn't know to cite an article in a dictionary or a book of collected essays.

By the way, somewhere along the line my forum post count was reset.

Yeah, I notice that. I do recall reading that individual author data was being added to articles (where did I read that????) I wonder if the future holds improvements here.

More than likely you changed your email address. No?

Either way you can search for Dave Ladiges here and post a comment to his page, he'll fix it when things get "normal" with the webserver - which they are not.

Quite right - even for resources that support citing articles. That's disappointing.

That is strange because it does for the footnotes. I wonder if because it's taking it from the info panel. Perhaps it should import both citations (dictionary and specific article) and allow users to delete the extra one.

If I select text from an article and copy/paste it into a word processor when the footnote is automatically added it cites the article's title and author. It doesn't do the overall citation for the entire AYBD or ISBE.

This is a known issue that we plan to address soon.

(There is a code/programming aspect to this problem, but there is also a data aspect. The resources need to be tagged with information about the title and author of each article. This has been added to newer resources, such as LBD, but not to all the back issues of every single journal yet. So even when the new code is shipping, it still may not work for some older journals until they're updated.)
