Logos, please come clean and share the cross grade price and availability date. This way we can decide how to proceed.

Keeping customers in the dark hoping they will buy a bunch of books they don't need for updated software is unethical.

I realize there is great cost involved with running a business and staying afloat. But you should have informed your customers of the software upgrade cost on day one. Now we still don't know. Your business model needs to be improved in my opinion.

This is how I see it. If I am wrong, please correct me. Smile

Based on what they have said, I think the Logos folks are still working through some issues before they decide on crossgrade availability and pricing. What those issues entail I do not know; but I do know that some of the new database tools are also (at least in part) resource dependent. I suspect that has something to do with it.

If you do not need, or want any of the resources offered in the new packages my advice would be to hold where you are until all of the information is out and you can make an informed decision.

    ?

There's no pressure, requirement, or any other reason to upgrade now rather than later. How is this unethical?

(BTW, I want the same information, and am waiting for it before I decide what I'll do.)

Whilst not confirming a specific price, Bob suggests in this linked thread that the minimal cross grade price will be less than $100 when it eventually comes out:

He also confirms the free L5 engine will be made available too - but no specific dates given as yet.
