No, but there will still be a substantial download because the Bibles with reverse interlinears have been upgraded, plus you'll get the new databases that support the new features, plus you'll have to download any new resources that come with whichever base package you purchase.

I would guess the minimum download is somewhere between 1-2GB, and goes up if you order a larger package with more new resources.

Also, keep in mind that Logos will be fixing bugs as people find them, and that could mean that the databases and interlinears might have updates to download in the coming weeks.

Thanks for lightning quick reply!  İ can cope with a substantial download, but not 20+Gig for entire library. Any idea how bignthe download if İ go from L4 platinum to L5 platinum?

Sorry I don't know how to calculate that.  Logos might have to say.  Or maybe Dave Hooton...he seems to keep track of download sizes since he has measured internet service.

That depends on how many resources you will be adding. Any idea?

I recently had to reinstall L5 from beta testing and that download was about 750 MB. My resource folder seems to average about 3.2 MB per resource.

That's a good question.  It depends on what Logos resources you have now...as Todd [and Mark] pointed out, you will be downloading resources that you do not currently have.  My guess would be anywhere between 1.5 GB to 2.2 GB for the entire download.  Just a guess.

That is very helpful, Mark.  İ can cope with that.  When İ last paid, İ got 3 gig for $10, valid for a month. İ tend to do bigger downloads at church, where it is cheaper, i"e. Freemto me, but slower.

    Nicky –

I want to add that there are a number of resources which have been updated for L5, so you may end up downloading more than just the new resources…

Went from L4 Platinum + to L5 Diamond and the download was a little less than 1.5 GB

Just saw Bama's reply above mine. The upgraded resources would have been downloaded during beta testing, so my entire download was in the vicinity of 2 GB

Nicky, you are looking at 1.9 GB for updates to existing resources and L5 databases  PLUS  the new resources (books). To calculate the latter you need to know the number of resources and multiply by an average size (which you can calculate from your own resource folder or use a value suggested above).

Thank you both.  That is helpful. İs it out of action till it has downloaded all the resources?  Or can i use it before everything has downloaded, as you can with partly dowloaded new resources?  İ may just splurge and do the download via my 3 gig for $10  mobile internet, as that is cheaper than. Ordering a DVD or travelling to Tirana.  Church internet would take forever to download that much. Anyway İ have nearly a month to think about it, or longer if crossgrade info has not come out.

    Nicky,

If I were in your shoes I would wait until the end of month to do downloading. New features like Timeline, Clause search etc. won't work until new resources and databases download. But the beta testing group for L5 was relatively small, we poked and tested at it as much as we could but all the new configurations and eyeballs on the software are bound to turn up a few new bugs and catch some things we missed about the resources. Waiting gives the dust some time to settle since you have limited download capacity/need to pay for more. I don't expect them to rebuild the Bibles/reverse interlinear (the biggest downloads) again soon but it's in the realm of possibility so that's why I would hold off.
