I finally got through the Sales phone line last night and cross-graded to Logos 5 Bronze. I have spent most of today using and enjoying the new features.
I am amazed by the powerful tools Logos has put into the hands of users like us. Many of them I will probably never understand or use in my lifetime as a lay Sunday School teacher and occasional stand-in preacher. But I am immensely thankful for the tremendous work and time and thought that Team Logos had put into designing and enhancing this software. I am particularly grateful that they have adopted and adapted state-of-the-art semantic architectures and made these tools so usable and accessible to us.
Above all, I am very thankful for the immense foresight and forward thinking that Bob and his team have put into this to bring Bible study and research to the "next level." I do not own or use the other advanced Bible software packages (Accordance and BibleWorks), so I do not know how Logos 5 compares to them. But as an IT program manager, I have led a team of ~100 engineers, architects, analysts and content creators to build a similar semantic-network-based medical search engine for a global health sciences publishing company. Even though I did not do hands-on engineering work myself, I had a front-row view of how hard and how challenging a project of this size and complexity could be.
So thank you, Bob, Dan, and the entire design, engineering, content creation, infographics, editorial, marketing, sales, and customer service team. Job well done! Please know that the fruit of your labor is already helping this one brother prepare better and more relevant Biblical lessons for his community of fellow believers of Jesus Christ.
I salute your dedication and great work!
Sincerely,
Peter
