MacAir L5 woes

After the RS3 update L5 on my MacAir has been unusable. It takes a couple of minutes to start and after it is open when I try to open a resource all I get is the Apple Beach ball. I have to force quit the program to shut it down. Most of my visual filter are not recognized and the ones that are don't work.
I rebuilt my index (8hrs), rebooted the machine but no progress has been made.
My iMac upgrade took place without these problems but I have not yet upgraded to RS3 for fear that it too will no longer be functional. The initial L5 upgrade did perform much better than L4, that was short lived.
Not complaining, just sharing my upgrade experience.
Now the waiting game begins in hopes that yet another update will fix these problems.
Will focus my attention on my PC for the rest of the night in hopes that similar problems are not found on the PC side. At least this way one of my L5s installations will still be usable.

I have a late 2010 basic 11 inch MB Air and upgraded to L5 SR3 OK. 2GB RAM, 64GB flash drive, Mtn Lion OS, Starter package (448 resources because of previous purchases). Indexing took about 2 hours, maybe less.
My one issue so far is I can't get to Timeline, even after indexing and restarting. I'll call about that. I go to Tools and all I see under reference is Bible Facts.

Timelines are accessed through the library, not tools. Set your search criterion to "timeline" and select the desired document.

Actually… the new timeline feature IS supposed to be under tools:

Does the started package have timeline data sets? I don't think it does.

Thanks Robert, that did it. Searching Logos 5 timeline on YouTube brings up a video showing it is available through Tools, that's why I went there.

Alabama24, I can see timelines through the Library, had to add the Type criteria to get to it. Still can't see it through Tools. For such a highly advertised upgrade feature I wish it was better documented how to access/use it.
I found more info on other threads too, about other resources with Timeline filter activated, but not positive how to "activate" that filter. I know technology, but am obviously not a strong Logos user...

Checking out the features chart, the "starter" package does not have the timeline feature. The time lines you are viewing in the library are not the same thing. This feature starts with the "bronze" base package.

That makes more sense, of course am disappointed but at least it's not a bug. Thx!

So I've been up since 230am examining my L5 PC version SR3.
Noticed that the filter problem is also noted on this machine.
I was able to narrow down the filter problem to "Morph" type filters. I created serval morph VF (both Heb & Grk) and none seem to work.
A simple VF for Greek imperfect verbs:
SEARCH: All Morph
IN: New testament
IN: All Resources
WITH: Logos Greek Morph
STRING: @VI
Will not work on any of the Bibles.
This file does show up under my documents section and when I start L5 on different machines I see the file as well but the filter will not work.
Conversely I created several Bible VF with no problems. They work and I can see them on different machines.
Lastly, on my machines, startup is noticeably slower. Opening a resource is a gamble where either the program crashes or takes about 45sec+ to open.
Having said all this I am glad for all who are not having issues because this gives me hope that some day I too will be there. For now I'm hanging on to the promise that L5 is better than L4 and that L5 is great update.
