I'm currently on the payment plan for Logos 4 Scholar's Edition. If I upgrade to Logos 5, like Gold edition ($72), will Logos STILL charge me the $30 per month payment for Logos 4 Scholar's???

Yes… you aren't paying for the software, you are paying for the resources. You still owe money that needs to go towards the publishers, authors, etc. You could talk to them about rolling things up into one payment.
