Should be an interesting staff meeting at Logos tomorrow...

Other than a couple of servers that needed to be swapped out, and some tags on the features page that didn't work, all in all, it was probably a very successful Logos5 rollout. For all we know, 34,000 people upgraded, and 43 got upset and visited the forum to air their frustrations.
Well, it's possible.

Is that the ratio of PC to Mac users?

Dennis, the pot shot posts to people who have no power or control over what frustrates you is a waste of time and doesn't present the best image. If you feel this strongly why don't you CALL Bob. He will speak with you. You can then decide whether to move on or work with the progress. It's up to you of course.

I believe that people, potential customers, who may browse this forum need to see both sides of story, not just those who have learned to be content with marketing promises and hype just because they've invested so much in the product they hate to admit something is amiss. I've invested a bundle also but I'll shout it out loud, SOMETHING IS AMISS, DON'T BELIEVE THE HYPE!!!

Dennis,
from what you are posting across several threads here, it seems you are somewhat frustrated with your experience of L4 on the Mac. What I don't see (maybe I overlooked it in your forum activity page) is a thread where you explained the problems you have and looked for input of experienced Mac users.
I don't see as well that there's any factual reason why something should be amiss with L5, especially since many Mac users report much improvements beyond the closing of the perceived "feature parity gap" in 4.6a.
So maybe L5 might solve your problems - or it may not, I can't tell. But it doesn't help (neither you nor other people, including potential customers) when you spread unfounded accusations.

OK Mac community, are my complaints/concerns unfounded as NB.MIck states? Did L4 Mac ever reach maturity as a complete product with feature parity of the Windows version. If I missed something in the updates let me know.

Ya, this ^

As to L4 much of what you have said is right on. I have no idea about L5 because I have not yet purchased it. What I do know for sure is that it will be a while before I do. I have learned to wait for others to find all of the mistakes in a Logos release and then wait until they are fixed. Given that L5 is already on SR3, it appears to be the same ol same ol.

Glad to see someone else noticed that also. [:)] Doesn't appear that much has changed in their approach to software releases.

Just to clarify - the release which was shipped on 1 November was SR-2, the previous were internal builds as shown in the release notes at http://wiki.logos.com/Logos_5_Release_Notes

This is not an L4 Mac forum. Therefore, you are once again way off base with your remarks. You have never had a positive thing to say about Logos, so we can expect you to continue to attempt to turn Mac users away and toward you preferred application.

SR-3 was mainly adding Perseus Textual Searches back into the BWS.

I believe the answer is a qualified "Yes."
http://wiki.logos.com/Logos_4.6a
4.6a just had an update as recently as Monday, and at that point we had delivered essentially complete feature parity and 'missing functionality' -- features people had in Logos 3 that they wanted in 4, too.
The remaining items at http://wiki.logos.com/Mac_and_PC_User_Interface_Differences are cosmetic, reflect differences in the Windows/Mac platforms (behavior of system UI components, etc.), or are on a short-list of "things we can't/won't bring into parity until we re-write them", with notes on why / when.
We're not even done with Logos 4.x -- we plan some updates to deal with outstanding issues / bugs, etc.

Just wanted to emphasize that last phrase Bob.

Jack that is not exactly true, prior to about this time in 2009 I was elated with Logos and promoted it to all but at that time my main PC was a Windows device running Logos 3 and very well for that matter. You've been along on this ride with me and know very well the problems we've encountered so don't act like I'm a lone wolf and all has been a bed of roses these last three years. It's been a long, patient trip and I just got tired of waiting for the destination last December and though I didn't want too and definitely didn't want to make such a substantial investment in another Bible study program, I felt I had no choice if I wanted to have fast, efficient bible study tools on my macs. You've used the other also and for you Logos is a more powerful tool, for me the other does what I need and amazingly fast. I still use logos for the resources it offers that the other doesn't but for my main Bible and language study I chose to use the other for now. Maybe Logos 5 or some of the coming improvements in the Logos 4 updates with change that. I will give you this, that the other products offerings as far as resources and content is not as vast as what Logos offers and is more pricey but what they have works very well and I like the new update. Sorry you've had to put up with my rants over these past few years, I guess I'm not as patient and forgiving as you are.

But that still does not make it right to write inflammatory posts accusing Logos of deceit.
