I had an issue with the Android Logos app on a few instances. I am going from an iphone and ipad Logos experience to the Android version and when I checked out the app on my friend's device, I have noticed so many things that are missing.
1.For one, it is one aspect in the user experience that I feel is lacking on the Android app. On the iOS version, all the highlights and markings look different than on the Android. The Highlighter Pens look like genuine highlighters when used in iOS and they are different from the highlighting that's done using Solid Colours. But on the Android they look the same. Could you please make them look different as in the iOS app?
2.The main reason I liked Logos over Kindle and other apps on the iOS is that even in "Low Light" (white text on black background) mode, the colours of the highlighters stayed the same. That is regardless of the text and background colour, a yellow highlighter looked yellow and red looked like red. But in the Android app, the moment you choose the "Low Light" mode, the colours are inverted on the phone and the yellow highlighter becomes blue, green become purple and red becomes green. When you go back to the normal black text on white background the colour becomes normal.
The different types and colour of highlighters have a specific meaning to me in how I understand Scripture or commentaries and if I can't see the right type and colour of highlighter in the reading mode I choose to read on, this poses a serious concern for me.
3. I have not confirmed this but from a post on the forum, I read that the grey half circle to link the panels does not have the same functionality as the one in the iOS app. I do not link the panels. I just read the verses above and scroll freely through the commentary below. The feature I loved on the iOS app was that when I want to sync the two without hitting the actual button to link panels, all you have to do is touch the grey circle and hold for a few seconds, the other panel syncs with the last panel you touched. And now I hear that even the feature to link panels isn't there. Hope someone can confirm if this feature is/is not there on the Android app.
Logos is a beautiful app and I appreciate all the hardwork that has gone into developing it into mobile apps but I hope that they make the Android version as pretty and beautiful to use as the iOS app, in these small instances. God Bless.
