So, I run into this expression in the SESB BHS and decide to search for it in case it is used elsewhere and can shed light on a possible idiomatic sense. So, I select the text in the SESB BHS right click, select the "selection" option on the right and then click on "search this resource" on the left. This is what I get:
Just in case, I switched to basic mode in the search. Here is the result:
However, the same works just fine with the non-SESB BHS 4.2.
