Any ideas on how this is similar or different to other Hebrew bibles in Logos, notably AFAT which is also branded as a Lexham bible? Why would you use one or another?
The main difference is in the tagging, which is quite different. They use quite different morphologies, and AFAT includes genre and source tagging which LHB doesn't. AFAT also has English glosses on hover, which unfortunately LHB does not. LHB morphology is simpler and, in my view, better suited to morphology searching. LHB also has options for displaying Kethiv/Qere readings, which is rather nice. You can choose to display Ketiv or Qere or both on different lines, or a hyrbid.
It's also another example of Logos moving away from licencing other people's datasets to creating their own. Presumably as the number of users increases, and as many users expect copies of resource in multiple destinations (PC, Mac, iPhone, etc.), it becomes cheaper for Logos to create their own data, and they then have complete freedom in how that data can be used.
Here's an example of LHB's much simpler morphology, for nouns. AFAT is as the top, LHB underneath:
Thanks Mark, that morphology looks much simpler to use!
Having a look at the different parsing info just by mousing over I keep noticing that the parsing info keeps getting displaced to the top of the screen when its really long (for short ones that fit within the panel its fine) do you reckon that's a bug?
Hi Jon
Yes I think this is a bug.
Similar issues have been reported at http://community.logos.com/forums/p/58491/419058.aspx

That doesn't happen on Windows. Must be a Mac bug.

Agreed

What version are you using? (i.e. are you completely up to date)
What version are you using?
I just double checked, and the issue isn't appearing for me in SR4.
EDIT: I can CONFIRM the issue still exists. In the other thread, Jonathan noticed that it happens when the resource is on the right side. Go figure. [:S]
Yep from my observations it doesn't happen if I open AFAT on the left as the popup can go all the way across the screen, on the right it gets displaced whenever the popup is to wide for that tab and would go off the screen...
On Windows, with the resource open on the right the popup extends itself to the left to give enough room.
Just thought this might be useful information in tracking this down

Hadn't noticed that, but you are right. Great observation!
Another important and very nice feature of the Lexham Hebrew Bible is that it has the te'amim, or the complicated set of accents that are also included with the BHS but are missing in AFAT. Although the accent system is complicated and a little difficult to learn, when you get it down it is extremely useful, as it indicates which words should be grouped together, and modern translations normally take these accents into account when determining the meaning of a phrase which could be interpreted in more than one way.
Ah yes... and the "Roots" are tagged as well, something missing for the moment anyway in BHS and AFAT.
Thanks for pointing that out Devin. I thought I'd put cantillation marks and roots in my original post, but ended up only listing what AFAT had that LBH did not, and omitted the other side of the coin.
This is a bug. What operating system are you using?
Mac OS X 10.8.2
I am able to reproduce this issue, and will report it to Development.
Mark's answer is a good one from the perspective of functionality. From the development and dataset perspective, we've struggled for some time with coordinating information across several other Hebrew Bible versions (each with their own quirks and update schedules). In the future, we plan to make the LHB the primary platform on which we build Hebrew features and datasets.
This is the same bug reported here: http://community.logos.com/forums/t/58491.aspx
I have responded in that thread.
