question about upgrading to 5

I have Portfolio LE from L4.  If I just buy the STARTER 5 upgrade, then will I basically get all the Logos 5 function and keep all my current resources (over 2500), or would I have to buy the Portfolio package in Logos 5 to keep all my current resources and get the L5 functionality.

I think I can swing a $40 total upgrade charge to get the L5 functionality without caring about additional resources above what I have.

Thoughts are appreciated.

    You would get some functionality with the starter, but all the new data sets make their first appearance in the Gold version. You can also wait a little while. They are putting together a cross grade package that will include all the data sets plus a couple of essential resources to take advantage of them. They will also provide the free engine which will retain all L4 functionality with a couple of goodies, but would not contain the data sets e.g. biblical sense and the timeline.
