This is not a huge deal, but I think the tree layout would look better is the connecting lines did not go through the words.
What's the alternative? If they didn't go through the words, you'd never be able to see where they went?
Make the little dots ont he left side of the word or start on the right side of the page.
My graphics ability is not very good, but the lines could go from the end of a word to the list of connecting words. Having the word bolded as it is now draws attention to the word that is connecting to a corresponding list.
That would work too.
It really is not that big a deal, I just think it would look cleaner

While it isn't perfect, I was impressed by the current layout - for being able to be compact and clear while retaining the touch and feel of other word web displayed.
Agreed, MJ. A great job so far. If the issue Fred raises can be addressed without loosing this compactness too much then it would make it even more visually appealing.
