In the recent flurry of activity on the forums presenting a myriad of opinions on the current upgrades/discounts/misconceptions/confusion/etc, I'm hoping this post gets noticed.

Alexander Souter Studies in Early Christianity Collection (7 vols.) is now over the top at $25 and $20 seems to be within reach. Since there's still a week till the bidding closes, and since I think that for 1,267 pages we can do better, is it possible that this gets enough attention to drop it down to $15?

A quick Bio:

Souter, Alexander (1873-1949), NT and patristic scholar. He was educated at Aberdeen and Gonville and Caius College, Cambridge, where he came under the influence of the Latinist, J. E. B. Mayor. From 1903 to 1911 he was professor of NT Greek at Mansfield College, Oxford, and from 1911 to 1937 Regius Professor of Humanity (in succession to W. M. *Ramsay) at Aberdeen. He came to acquire an unrivalled knowledge of early Christian Latin. His works in the patristic field include A Study of *Ambrosiaster (1905), an edition of the Pseudo-Augustinian Quaestiones Veteris et Novi Testamenti (CSEL, 1908), and, most important of all, his identification of the text of *Pelagius' Commentary on St Paul's Epistles, which he edited (Texts and Studies, 1922-31). He co-operated with W. *Sanday in studies on the text of the NT. He also argued for a late date (370-420) for the Latin version of *Irenaeus. His valuable Glossary of Later Latin (1949) was published posthumously.
