Downloaded L5 - big problems!

Downloaded L5 Platinum last night and resources today.  Restarted L5 and each time it starts, the indexer crashes.  L5 is so slow it is literally unusable.  Whenever I point at something with the cursor that has a popup, the popup never "pops up" at the cursor - it usually is at the top left hand of the screen.  (Is that by design?)  When typing a bible verse, it takes about ten seconds for the characters that I typed to show up.  When I quit L5, (sometimes) Windows says that it has crashed and gives the message:

My system:

CPU: i7 2600k, 8gb memory, 2Tb HDD, Nvidia Geforce GTX 560, Creative SB X-fi, dual 24" monitors.  Not a slacker by any means.

I enabled diagnostic logging:

Tom ... while you're waiting, you might want to hold the control-key down while starting L5 (not load the layouts). That's first place I'd look judging from your uploaded files

This is exactly what i saw, when I had this problem in the pre-release beta. In this thread Logos became unusable for the same reason: because of a glitch in the display system that would cause a line of resources tabs to be continually resizing. If that's what you're seeing try moving or removing one of the resources from that pane (or column) and see if that helps.

Your indexing issue is probably related to a resource. If you get Logos running again try the update resources command and if new resources download, hopefully that will fix it. If not, we may have to start looking at individual resources and that can be time consuming.

I usually have a lot of resources open, but this was never a problem in L4.  When I opened with a blank layout and opened a coupleof resources, it seems to behave normally.  Indexing is finally commencing without fault so far...  (And my popups are in the right place now!)  I'll start adding resources and see what happens...

You are exactly right.  One of the resource tabs was "pulsing" - wasn't sure what that was about.  I closed it and things seem normal now.  Thanks for your help!
