How do we print off a week’s worth of readings to look up?

How do we print off a week’s worth of readings to look up?

Dear David,

I do not know how to easily do what you seem to be after in Logos.

However, if you have "Catholic Lectionary" in your library, you can open the electronic book from the USCCB and it will have all the readings for each day (using the USCCB Calendar) from the start of Advent in December 2007 until the end of Ordinary Time in 2016. These reading are all listed in calendar sequence for the 11 years in the electronic text, followed at the end by a Proper of Saints, Commons, etc. So you could just find the current date in the Catholic Lectionary in your library, and read/copy from there. That will give you a general answer.

But the readings for a date depend on several things. There are variations from diocese to diocese, and on many days there are options. The Catholic Lectionary in the library has many days with "OR," this reading or that reading. Some days have more than one option, and it really is left to the discretion of the particular celebrant in a particular community. The electronic edition also suggests that you consult an actual paper lectionary for further details.

For an online listing of the readings for different Sundays and Weekdays, you might consult the website of Fr. Felix Just, SJ, at http://catholic-resources.org/Lectionary/1998USL.htm . Of course, this will give you tables of the readings for Sundays, Weekdays and Saints, but not coordinated with any calendar.

Perhaps some day we can have an Ordo or two on Logos for Catholics which would cover not only the readings for both forms of Mass, but also both forms of the Office for each day, in general.

The back part of the lectionary is the readings in liturgical calendar sequence with the sanctoral cycle at the end. You can copy a weeks readings as a single block and create a reading list from the clipboard (or selection for that matter). Then adjust it for the sanctoral cycle as it applies to your parish. I've made a passage list with all the readings just to see what we miss.
