I used to be able to high light a word and was given the option to do a word study in Greek or Hebrew. Now the only option is "look up" in a dictionary.  Where has the word study gone?  Can't get to work since have new iPhone.

Do lookup and you will get the option for the word study

It used to work on my iPhone 4. With the iPhone 5 there is no option for word study. Just look up.

I'm using and iPhone 5 and iPad 3, both with the latest ios and version of logos app. When I do a lookup there is a display with the Greek/Hebrew and options to do a search or to do a bible word study.  Sadly from the iPhone I can not attach a screen shot to show it

Leigh Ann – Welcome to the forums! [:)]

For this feature to work, some things must be true.

    1. The resource you are using must have a reverse interlinear associated with it. The ESV, for example, has a reverse interlinear for both OT & NT.
    2. You must own a license for the reverse interlinear, typically acquired through the purchase of a base package (it sounds like you do).
    3. You must be connected to the internet.

If all of those are true and you are still having problems, please explain more what you are trying to do… include resources and screen shots if possible.

When I select the word I want to look up, It is highlighted, and then I select "look up" .  . but instead of seeing options look up/word study, it automatically goes straight to looking up in the dictionary...

    screen shots coming..

Again... it just starts looking it up....  how can I be sure I own the license to the ESV?  I have purchased the on-line version through crossway, etc.

I can help with screen shots..... to take a screen shot of your ipad, or iphone screen, press the home button and the lock/top button at the same time  - - - it takes a photo and saves in your photo library.

and fyi, I did not purchase anything through Logos...I have just been using the free iPhone app.  I used the word study feature regularly....  so it just seems to not be available on my new phone?  I have deleted and reinstalled the app - re-set the phone.... doesn't seem to make any difference.

I can scroll to " word study" through the menu system, but it seems only to reference the kjv 1900 translation and I'm not sure why that is even showing up, since I just use the ESV.

One more thing I notice.... when I look at the info for my ESV.... it says it is only available online because it is not part of my library?  I see it in my library...  and when I click the "DOWNLOAD" button...nothing happens....

I have been to "logos.com" to learn more....but am not seeing anything to learn about this problem...

I am not sure how you accessed the features previously, but I don't think these features are supposed to be available to you without a base package. Sorry!

The Greek/Hebrew lookup requires a bible that is tagged with Greek/Hebrew interlinear data.  Bibles that do not have that data will go straight to the dictionary when a Lookup is attempted.

In the free version of the Logos iOS app, only certain bibles are tagged with the Greek/Hebrew interlinear data.  The Lexham English Bible (LEB) is one that I'm certain has it.  The KJV may also have it.  The free ESV does not have it.  To get the ESV interlinear data, you'll need to purchase a Logos base package.

I would recommend using the LEB to get access to the most features in the iOS app if you do not intend to purchase anything.

my only complaint is that I HAD this feature until the most recent update.... I could access the world study with the ESV and the NLT..... now cannot get it on either.... so this is something that was here earlier and has been removed in order to force people to purchase.  I understand folks have to make $$ somewhere, but it is still disappointing.

Actually it wasn't… It was in error that you were able to access it… call it a free sample. [;)]
