Hi there,
Does anyone know whether it is possible to upload books purchased from Olivetree.com into Logos. By the way I've upgraded to Logos 5.
Appreciate your advice.

Hi QuopBoy,
Unfortunately, books purchased from Olivetree are not compatible with Logos.
If you are able to either convert or copy into a Word document and then save as a .docx, you will be able to convert them into a personal book by using the personal book builder tool within L5.
There is guidance on the Wiki pertaining to the PBB tool. Let us know if you are struggling to locate this.

I don't know how difficult it would be to convert Olivetree books to a Word document, and then a Personal book.
There are copyright issues, but I do believe that it is permissible to convert the format of a book you have legally bought for your personal use. But it is never legal to share such a book. That is pretty much the legal policy with converting music cd's to mp3, for example.
However, just because you could doesn't mean it is a good idea. It could work fine for some books - general reading books. But most study books require so much tagging to be useful that it "too much sugar for a nickel" as we say in the South. And footnotes are lots of trouble.
If the book is just text that you want to read and search, Personal Books are great. More technical, it is a bargain to buy them from Logos.
Great answers, Andy and Michael! Peace to all!
