I'm thinking about upgrading to windows 8 from 7 and I was wondering, can I back up logos on an external drive, then put it back on my computer once windows 8 is installed? Or do I have to completely redownload logos?

I don't know if Windows 8 installs in place, or requires a reformat, so you may not need to reinstall Logos at all.

But if you want to know how to avoid re-dowloading read the information here: http://wiki.logos.com/Quick_Installation_onto_multiple_computers

I upgraded a computer from Windows 7 to 8, it it did it in place and preserved my Logos install and everything else. It depends on which version of Windows 8 you are installing to I am told, probably (and this is a guess) moving to a similar or higher feature-set vs. not. Just be careful and read as you do the install, I have done both (install in place and new install), it's pretty obvious IMHO which it is asking your permission to do once it gets going.

You may want to Google on Windows 8 installs and learn more about this to make sure you install in-place. I didn't have any trouble but you may feel safer reading about it.
