library and slow typing in note file

I have been working in Logos 4 for a short time now. I installed it on a brand new computer with 4gb ram and 500gb hd thinking that everything would work as it should. The first thing I noticed is that I am missing 3 books from my library that were in my previous L3/L4 i installed on my older computer. How can I know what they are and how to retrieve them? The second question is when I am typing in a note file the computer is delayed a second after the keystrike. It is a little irritating. How can I fix this? It doesn't always happen that way.

Remember that Logos 4 has a different resource set. For example the reverse interlinear are now baked into the Bible file instead of being a separate resource. Harmonies and parallel passages were functions of the program in version 3 but now they are resources. Also, PBBs aren't in L4 yet. So, chances are you aren't missing anything if you are just relying on the resource count in your library. Otherwise type "update resources" into the command line and Logos will look for any books you might be missing (this can take a while)

Logos aggressively syncs your data in notes. If the latency in your keystrokes is too much you can probably fix it by setting "use internet" to off in the program settings. You can then manually sync with "sync now" in the command bar.

I tried the update idea and that didn't do anything although I understand what you are saying about some resources being embedded in others, like the interlinears. As for the delayed keystroke entry, well, I tried what you said about sync now, and it didn't help. In fact, from the time I enter the keystroke to the time it shows up in my notes is more like the count of 3. I also noticed that the syncing in the information part when I place my cursor over a hebrew word is like it was on my old computer. I guess I thought this new computer would much faster with these tasks.

Did you use the sermon file addin on the computer with the LDLS on it? Logos 4 would pull over the sermons you had compiled (it still reads the old format). This could partly explain the resource variance.

Sorry that my suggestion for turning of the internet didn't work. I know there are some issues with WPF on which Logos is built and latency. I would suggest attempting to optimize your system, freeing up RAM and the like to see if that helps.
