Calendar event created, but not showing up in a group's calendar

I created a special event in the calendar, and affiliated it with my youth group. Apparently, I created the event in my personal faithlife calendar and not in the group's. I would like to be able to see the event in my group's calendar, and on the activity feed for the group.

Also, in trying to create the event within the group's calendar, the event name was already taken (apparently by me). 

Suggestions:

  1. Allow events to be shared across groups
  2. Allow for duplicate names of events--I imagine that "Christmas Drama" might be something that would have the same name quite often.
