Visual Filters - How many visual filters should we have?

Another thanks to Mark Barnes for his intro to Logos 5. I did notice that as he was sharing about visual filters from the ESV translation he had several filters to choose from (about 12). I have the bronze level, but only have 3 visual filters (Bible text only, Links to open panels, & Sympathetic highlighting). Since I have the bronze level, am I to have only 3 visual filters, or should I have more?

You can create as many visual filters as you want. You can have custom highlighting applied by them. Also reading plans (start and stop indicators) will show up in the Visual Filter Menu

Visual filters are great. We first got them in Logos 4. You can learn how to make your own on the wiki: http://wiki.logos.com/Visual_Filter

Note that these directions and the screenshots are from Logos 4 but the filters work exactly as they did in L4.

One of our MVPs, KS4J, loves visual filters. He has so much color in some of his screenshots it looks like an explosion at the jelly bean factory.

If enable a visual filter for "Logos Greek Morphology - Cases", then more jelly beans appear (see AV 1873 below)

Logos visual filter hightlighting is my favorite feature. With verbal highlighting, can "see" range of expression in Greek and English resources. Logos 4 and Logos 5 take awhile to combine hundreds of search results for simultaneous display.

I just upgraded to logos 5 Silver today. First thing I noticed is that the visual filters for Greek verb forms and case that I have set up to show in the ESV are all awry. I have rectangular blocks that bridge two or even three words (when it should be just one). A verb may have only the last letter coloured for example.

Has anyone else experienced this? Better still, do you have a remedy?

Are you still indexing? An incomplete index can cause searches (and visual filters) to give odd and inaccurate results.

David, since you just installed L5, is indexing still going on? If so, wait until it is complete, and check your filters again.

if indexing is complete, as KS4J said, some screenshots would help.

Edit: I see Kevin asked you about the indexing already.

Thanks everyone. I don't think I was still indexing - but can't be sure.

Anyway, everything is now normal, so maybe indexing was the problem.

When indexing is active, you should see a Logos icon at the right end of your Menu Bar (Mac) on somewhere in the System Tray (Windows).

To help my Greek reading I have three visual filters, which were designed when VFs first came out and could probably do with a rethink with the greater customisation now available, but here it is anyway.

Part of speech (text colour)
Verb tense (underline style)
Verb mood (background splodge)

Depends what you're interested in at the time.
