Upgrade to Logos 5

I would like to upgrade to Logos 5. I have the following problems:

1) I need to buy a new computer that runs either Windows 7 or Windows 8, as my present

computer runs Windows XP.

2) I am short of money at the moment. I hope to buy the new computer with software in the new year (2013).

In view of the above, I want to upgrade to Logos 5 with all its new features e.g. timelines, biblical events,

clause searches etc. I am thinking of upgrading to either Logos 5 Gold or Logos 5 Platinum, depending on the price.

Please could you consider the following:

1) I have done a lot of business with Logos in the past.

I have a large library with nearly 3 000 resources. I have the Scholars Gold base package plus many other books.

Portfolio has 2 585 resources. Gold and Platinum have over 1 000 resources each. Therefore, I have double

as many resources as Platinum but still less than Portfolio.

2) Will there be a higher discount during the Christmas period.

3) Talk of crossgrade but I would like all the features of Logos 5 Gold and above.

I don't want to spend more than say R1 000 or R2 000 (Soith African Rands) if possible.

Logos will likely have Christmas deals, but I doubt the base packages will be any cheaper.  You can see your to cost to upgrade to Logos 5 on their website.  It takes into account the resources you already own, so each person's price is different.  You could also choose to get the minimal crossgrade which does include all the new features in Logos 5.  It's current cost is $159, but this may also be different depending on the resources you already own.
