Clause search on Windows, but not on Mac.

So, after happily upgrading via the Min Crossgrade, I've found that I have the clause search under Windows 8, but not on my trusty Mac laptop. Since everything seems synced between the two, I'm left thinking it's not a setting that's causing the issue. The Mac Logos refuses to update any further, leaving some books missing from the library.

Any ideas?

Hi Joel

From what you say - that the Mac environment is refusing to finish updating - it sounds as though all the necessary information has not been downloaded and / or indexed.

Key thing is to find out why downloading isn't happen.

I would suggest you post some logs - details at http://wiki.logos.com/Diagnostic_Logging - so someone Mac-knowledgeable can advise

Is the Logos icon still in your menu bar? That would indicate either downloading or indexing. Some features do not appear until these two activities are complete.

If logging is needed.

The most convenient was to enable logging is to use 5516.LogosLogging.app.zip by KS4J. (Restart of Logos needed after enabling)

Then use 6403.Logos Log Scribe R2.zip to create an archive of the logs on your desktop.

Use the paperclip on the message prep window to attach.

I know it has been updated… I don't know if the link you have is the updated version… What message are you getting?

Also, can you verify what version of the app you are currently using on Mac?

Thanks Jack. I actually went ahead and followed the normal logging procedure, which went fine, aside from the 'one session' logging not working. Here are the logs. I'm on SR-4, 5.0.0.1835.

A brief look at things, and I can't see much out of place. Hopefully someone else can see more than I can

I should mention, part of me wonders if this issue was caused by upgrading L4 to L5. Because the Mac lacks any decent instructions on how to deal with L4 afterwards (unless as I found out, you trawl the forums) I initially removed a few more files than the Logos 4 app. I've restored those, but that might be the cause of the issue.

I thought I had another L5 problem on the Mac - The videos about clause searching showed a new line at the bottom of the interlinear for 'sense' - but I was not seeing that in the Mac L5 version. Another forum post gave the answer - you need to right-click on the left side of the RI where you have to choose "Sense" for that to become visible. Hooray for the forums today!
