I know there's a lot of disappointment among the scholars and power users of previous versions and resistance from those set in their study habits and tool usage but while studying today I am moved to say I am so happy to have found Logos. Having recently tried to get back into scripture study after a long period of no study at all, you can't imagine what this brings to me. As I go through the book of Daniel, I am able to check various bibles, see how to pronounce a word, pull up a bible dictionary, check a person's family tree, etc. I am learning to love God's word again in a way I have not felt in decades and I think it is starting to show in my life. At least, I hope it is.
Would I like it to be faster? Sure but I think time to allow the developers to complete their work and maybe a memory upgrade will take care of that. Am I anxious to have notes that seem less delicate when I'm trying to use them? Absolutely! I love annotating scripture with Post-It style notes of the thoughts that come to me as I read, study and pray and so I hope the touchiness of the notes interface will fade with version releases. I'm also quite anxious to be able to import (and I hope that means create) my own highlighting symbols, since the ones provided don't match my taste and need for variety. :-)
I wanted forum users to know that, in spite of frustrations, Logos is a gift. It is a gift that is opening the door to God's word in ways I have never seen. I believe other users will find the same thing is true. I'm grateful and I wanted to say that.
