I own Logos 4 Platinum edition.

Can I upgrade to the Logos 5 engine and just keep the resources I already have?

If so, how much?

Free engine is coming after January, core essentials is around $80, Full L5 functionality (all features) around $160

Making Disciples! Logos Ecosystem = LogosMax on Microsoft Surface Pro 7 (Win11), Android app on tablet, FSB on iPhone & iPad mini, Proclaim (Proclaim Remote on Fire Tablet).

Yes, you can - and it will be free! Logos announced it for Q1 2013.

However, I'd look into the new features, if I were you. There's a cool video from Mark Barnes with all of them. The current Verbum Blog has a description of Clause search as opposed to Bible Search what you have with L4: http://scripturestudysoftware.com/2012/11/16/new-feature-clause-search/

Yes. You will lose nothing in functionality nor resources in just upgrading to the new engine.

Info on the Minimal Crossgrade and Core Datasets for L5.

As a reminder, you never lose resources that you already own.

You can enhance your Logos software several ways

    (1) Upgrade to a discounted L5 base package and gain a number of additional resources at a bargain price.

    (2) Upgrade to the L5 Minimal Crossgrade and gain resources necessary to run the full functions of the L5 datasets.

    (3) Upgrade to the L5 Datasets to gain the datasets in L5.

    (4) Wait until after the first of the year and upgrade to the free L5 engine

Thanks to all. I did the minimal crossgrade. Seemed the best way to go.

One problem there. At the present time, the upgrade calculator considers you to possess L5, and the discounts for new purchasers will disappear for you. Logos was looking into this, but I have not seen a final decision.

Yes, the resources you own will be taken into account, but the purchase discount will not be there. If you are considering such a move, would recommend that you contact sales. Many have reported great satisfaction after that contact.
