I own Barclay's Daily Study Bible from my Logos 3 days.Is there a way to upgrade to the New Daily Bible Study series or do I have to purchase at full price?
Pretty sure you have to purchase the new one. I also have the older version. My resource files are in Logos 3 file format. If there was a free upgrade I should have it. The new DSB Logos release is just the NT, too. You'd keep both sets if you buy the new one.

Peace to you, Alan! I also have Barclay from the so-called good old days! I treasure it! Love the way he "phrases" his words.
When the new version came out a couple of years ago, some forum members posted comparisons; and, invariably I chose the older version! I or you or some other forum brother or sister could search for these if it were helpful to you .....................
If you ever wanted to switch because you like the language of the revision better, you might consider selling your old version. Fellow Forums Member and MVP Thomas Black has a website called http://www.stilltruth.com/ where some Forum members have put up various items for sale. The forum guidelines preclude our selling Logos products on these forums.
Life sometimes serves us more problems than one can shake a stick at, eh? Selling your old Barclay might be a problem for you, though, if you have upgraded, for example, to Logos 5 where the value of your library, including Barclay, was taken into account on the calculator when it came to giving you a price. A wee bit complicated, Alan, and I guess the major point of my post is that you have right now a very valuable and desirable resource which you might want to treasure also! Always Joy in the Lord! *smile*
Thanks for the replies
I have the old version and love it. When the revised version came out, I checked and was told that I would have to purchase it. When reading around the Internet about the quality of the revised version, several people were disappointed about the revision. So I did not upgrade.
My only grievance is that the old version has lots of typos. I keep submitting them but I guess Logos is not interested in fixing something that they don't sell any more. [:(]

I am very happy with NDSB, it was a very good update in my opinion. The quotations are more often attributed, and his excessively masculine language is softened. I am not too sure if it is worth it to you to upgrade (which is purchasing it). Logos couldn't fix it because it lost publishing rights, now they may be able to, I really don't know, but I do know the DSB OT/NT are now available on out mobile devices. But only Logos will be able to answer if there will ever be corrections to it.

I believe the discount was only based upon resources you owned that were part of the upgrade package. It was to keep you from paying twice. Barclay was always sold separately, so it would not be part of any discount. There would be no problem in selling it, other than you likely cannot buy another copy of the old version.
Actually I have the the old Barclay from the Logos 3 days as well, and then suddenly one day realized that it was replaced with the new Barclays (maybe about 9 months ago) I called Logos and thought that they said that said something like they don't have the old version any more? I don't exactly remember.
I am also torn. I like the old version because of the wording and for nostalgic reasons, but the new version has more volumes and so that's nice too.

If your old Barclay was replaced, that is indeed strange. I still have the old Barclay from L3 days. The new Barclay is a separate resource from the old, not an "upgrade". You have to purchase the new Barclay, and you retain the old. Better talk to Logos again because something is wrong there. Of course you may be happy with the new. But I have not heard of that happening. While Logos no longer can sell the old Barclay, they have not taken it away from those who bought it. I even have Old Barclay version on my iPad app.
Perhaps the confusion is caused by the fact that "old" Barclay is called "revised" and that would make one think it is the new version. Check the title page, and note that it was revised in the 1970's.
