is the sync server down?
It seems to be working for me on my Logos 5 desktop right now! Peace!
Oh well, I may have to try restarting my PC.
Mine is working.
Mine is still not.
I'm sure that other can provide better assistance than I.
Maybe try this: close Logos, then hold your CTRL down and double click to reopen up Logos. Keep the CTRL key down until the "sign in" window opens up then click "sign in." See if that works.
Tried that. I can sign in, the sync window says syncing. But, then in Logos the yellow trianlge appears still and when hovered over says an error occurred during synchronization.
You can double check to be sure that in your "program settings" under "tools" you have selected "yes" for Internet use, but I'm sure you have it set correctly.
Unless someone else has any other ideas, my only other suggestion would be to contact customer support.
yes, I even turned the Logos setting internet off, restarted Logos, then turned it back on and restarted Logos and still have the lovely yellow triangle.
I wonder if it could be connected to my upgrade today? I opted for a base package... ever since, it did download the resources, but the sync yellow triangle has been there.
If you attach your log files perhaps there might be a clue in there about what's going on. I looked at the server side of things and I didn't see anything obvious, but this isn't a service I'm working on yet.
You might not get an answer until Monday depending on who is checking the forums over the weekend.
Here you go...

I am by no means an expert, but just looking at the logs it appears to be having issues syncing your Bibliography. Problem is I cannot help with this problem, perhaps an MVP will chime in if they've seen this before, but most likely you'll need to wait until Monday to get this problem fixed if not.
Is it crashing or just not syncing something? It looks like it's syncing everything else, but again I've not looked at these services yet to tell you more.
The logs will be a next good step for someone to help you get this resolved.
Sorry I cannot help more.
Thanks. Yes, it appears to sync other things. I tested modifying a note. And, I had a bibliography that I deleted - to no avail.
Any progress on this?
I turned on the water, and mine is working just fine.

Well, I was referring to my error logs...
From your logs, it appears that there is a bug on the client that is preventing it from uploading your Bibliography documents. Specifically, at some point, you seem to have had a Bibliography item with no associated citation fields (author, title, etc.). This cause the sync upload to fail, and because of the nature of the failure, the app has decided to stop syncing Bibliography documents until you restart the app.
I'll work with the Logos 5 team to ensure that this is addressed in a future release. In the meantime, deleting any Bibliography items without citation fields and restarting the app should resolve your issue.
Thanks, David, but I did try that already. I deleted the Bibliography file and restarted, re-booted, and it still shows me the yellow triangle.
Do you have a firewall that may be stopping the connection? I know that sometimes with security updates the firewall will start blocking things that you did not tell it to.
I hadn't changed a firewall setting that was not there before. Everything was fine until I upgraded to Silver and was watching Mark Barnes' fine video again on new features. I looked at the Bibliography and evidently did not complete it from the log files as I learned above.
BTW, my other computer runs it fine without a hitch. I don't usually have any issues. I'll try putting Norton to sleep and see if that helps.
Do you mean that you deleted the document from within the application or that you deleted the database used by the app to store your documents?
In either case, could you upload new logs?
OK. Here you go.

OK. well, I think I fixed it. I removed the Bibliography.db and Bibliography.db-journal files from the Bibliography folder and restarted Logos surmising that it would recreate those files, which it did.
