Windows 7 can't find Apple's Airport Wireless Router

I just installed Parallels and Windows 7 so that I can use Logos 4 on my Mac. However now I have an entirely new problem. Windows 7 doesn't seem to want to find the Airport Extreme Wireless Router by Apple.

Does anyone have any idea how to make it find it? Do I need to install some driver or something?

its a Parallels setup issue

Start Parallels and run windows 7 VM

go to the top menu and choose > Device > Network Adaptor > and set it to Bridged Networking

make sure it sets the default Network Adaptor to Bridged and you will be away

Cant remember if itll need a reboot of Windows

Its nothing to do with Logos or with OSX

Windows in a VM accesses the wireless base station through OS X and not directly

So if you cany get connection yet OS X gets a connection then there is an issue with Parallels and how it is working.

No offense intended here, but why not go to the Parallels support forums. I am sure someone else has struggled through this issue and resolved it over there.

I had a similar problem when I installed Windows 7 onto VMware Fusion. From what I've read, the problem is with Windows 7 and not with Fusion or Parallels. At least with Fusion, the solution was to edit the ".vmx" file by adding one line to it. If there's a .vmx created in the Windows 7 virtual machine under Parallels, you may want to to a look at the following site to see if this solution would also apply to you, if you're not able to find anything from the Parallels site:

I have run Parallels 5 and Fusion 3 with WIndows 7 and had no issues with networks thru my wireless on Fusion it set it up automatically I have always noticed mine works only when it is in bridged mode but Parallels 5 didnt set it this way on installation and I had to adjust the setting in Parallels itself as I described above to bridged and she worked fine after that.

Parallels forum is a good place to go, I dont think it is an issue as in a bug in Windows 7 or everyone would have to do it,,
