I guess Sliver is the new name for Scholar edition right? I will have L4 Scholar paid off in April and I don't see why the upgrade price for Sliver is $445.?? I have everything right in L4 Scholar so what am I missing?
Randall, the L4 Scholars and the L5 Bronze are somewhat similar. Actually the new packages are so different it is better to ignore the names.
To get all the features in L5 you have a number of options, including a package upgrade to Gold, a package upgrade to Bronze or Silver plus a purchase of the Minimal Crossgrade (at a discount if you have Bronze or Silver), or the direct purchase of just the Minimal Crossgrade or the Core Datasets. The Core Datasets will leave you a little short of full L5 functionality. You will not have the Clause Search or the Bible Senses Lexicon.
Your other option is to stay with L4 or wait for the free L5 engine sometime after the first of the year.

Randall,
From what I was informed that Scholar's is now the base level at Bronze (starter being lower than that - very basic). Scholar's Library was followed up with Scholar's Silver, Scholar's Gold, Scholar's Platinum and Scholar's Portfolio in L4. They also had Bible Study, Original Languages, Family Life/Bible?? Leader's Library (which were below Scholar's in L4. All of that has changed in L5, with Starter, Bronze (being your equivalent packet), Silver, Gold, Platinum, Diamond (this is a brand newl level) and Portfolio.
I hope I have confused you enough. A minimal crossgrade was released just this last week.

If the resources offered in the L5 Silver do not interest you, then I recommend you go with the minimal crossgrade if you want L5 features. There is no other reason to purchase L5 Silver. If there is only a few resources you want, chances are it is less expensive to buy L5 Silver than the individual resources.
I was not planning to upgrade for a while. I was looking forward paying off Scholar edition which is$56.06 a month. I will call my rep at Logos and ask him. L4 will still work for a while right?
If you are content with what you have, there is nothing you need to do. In 2013 1st Quarter, they are going to release Logos 5 free engine which will actually help because it speeds up the process. L5 is significantly quicker than L4. The minimal crossgrade which gives you all the features of L5 with the L5 engine is available now for about 160 bucks or less which is something you might want to consider if you want a faster software. Logos 4 was the best bible software I have ever used. Logos 5 is even better and has simplified some of the things like Clausal searches, root word studies which are now readily available with a click instead of multiple searches before in L4. Hope this is helpful. I have upgraded to L5.

Naveen,
Thank you!! I am happy and may upgrade later on. I think I paid over $600 for this and had it almost paid off. Then they sent me a offer for Thomas Nelson collection which added $300 and push my payment for another 12 months. I am happy with it for now.
My dog died on May 25th so I plan to roll; the logos payment to my vet so I can pay her off then I may revisit L5.
