Robert, Logos 5 can only be accessed on a Mac or PC. There is a Logos app for Apple mobile devices, and one for Android devices. These do not have all the capabilities of Logos 5. You can learn more about the apps for mobile devices on he Logos web site.

Between the two, I would opt for the Nexus 7. On the surface, the reason for this recommendation is that the Nexus 7 has a full, unrestricted Android Operating System, while the Kindle has an Android system that has been modified and geared to work specifically for Amazon.

Thank you Mark, I currently have logos 5, does that mean, on the tablet I wont be able to access logos? or will I just loose logos 5 features. I guess I am asking can I access my library? If so which Tablet would be best?

    Thanks!

You will be able to access you library, but not use all the features of the full program. I have an android tablet that I use to read Logos books and it works well. Someone else can give you a better assessment of which is best.

Robert, you will have access to most of your resources, but some publishers have not licensed their resources for mobile use, so you won't be able to use them. Unfortunately the only way to learn which do and which don't is missing from the Logos web site since its recent upgrade.

The mobile apps have far fewer features than L5. None of the new features in L5 are in the mobile apps. You'll be able to read, highlight, take notes, run the passage guide and Bible Word Studies, see parallel versions, and make us of your Favorites in the iOS app. I have no experience with the Android app, but believe it may still lag behind the iOS app.

Searching on the mobile apps is hopeless at this point. Not enough ability to control the breadth of the search and how the results are shown.

All in all the iOS app has been worth purchasing an iPad for my purposes.

I have the original Kindle Fire.  It work great for reading, highlight and making notes (which is mostly what I use it for.)  It's word study is limited compared to my desktop, so I don't use that feature much on the Kindle.  It has a split panel so you can have 2 resources open at the same time.  I've had my Kindle for almost a year and use Logos on it daily.

according to Bradley, He mentioned in another thread that it would be possible to run Logos in the surface pro which  Microsoft is going to release it  next January.
