Hi!
Since a downloaded the new L5 the program started to crash a lot. Now I can not open my resources;(5621.Arkiv.zip
Noting your previous two posts it sounds like you need to contact tech support.
Niklasaas – In your logs, I noticed two errors… both were with resources. Were you opening them individually or from a saved layout? It may be that you need to rebuild the layout from scratch. I also noticed in the logs that the resources were outdated compared to mine. I am not sure if this implies that the version you have is old, or if the layout is looking for the old version… but I think the issue is that you have the old version. Have you tried using the command update resources in the command bar?
I think the following is the pertinent info from your logs if someone else has an idea:
As I mentioned above, these last two lines make reference to older versions of the following resources:
Did you get things figured out?
I have tried this. No progress. I deleted the data folder. Installed L5 and all the resorces from the beginning. 8 hours later. Still crasching.0728.Arkiv 2.zip
It's a similar error to before; loading preferences for a resource panel. Can you open to a blank layout? Slowly build a new layout adding resources (guides and Search panels are OK) to see what causes the crash.
I have erased everything in mapp logos4. I try again from the begining. When I look in packin for logos 5 (right click on the program logo) There is no update, its still the same like yesterday. So I erased everything now. Will download the logos 5 from clean install.
The logs indicate there is a problem loading one of the auto-created (Visual) bookmarks. Try going to Preferences, then set "Show Auto and Favorite Bookmarks" and "Show Search Bookmarks" to "No" and see if that prevents the crash. See http://wiki.logos.com/Visual_Bookmarks for more information on how to enable/disable this feature.
Yes that helped. What can I do to repair this problem?
(I have reintalled everything a second time, but its still the same thing. Plus now I have i warning sign up in the right corner. even if I click on sync it showes up again...)

Niklasaas it appears that if you have reinstalled Logos 5 and you are getting the same issue that likely you have not fully removed the old installation and some settings there are upsetting things. I will write a second post directly after this one with information on how you can completely remove all of the Logos 5 installation so you can do a totally clean install — if that is what you wish/need to do.
Second posting coming in a few minutes.....
Thanx, that would be perfect!
The difficulty (I am assuming this is the issue for you) you have removing Logos 5 is partly due to the fact that OS X doesn't have a (full) uninstall feature. You can drag an application (in OS X applications in the Applications folder are actually special folders with multiple files) to the trash but there are more files/folders you need to get rid of.
Here's what to do — again assuming you want to do a totally clean install:
Also this assumes that you have NOT excluded the Logos data file folder...
/Users/your_user_name/Library/Application Support/Logos4/
from Spotlight searching (I have).
Refer to screenshot below, click on it to show it full size, ideally in another window to refer to as you go along
That will remove the Logos application, the Logos system data folder and all other system folders where information is saved. You can then redownload the Logos installation file from Logos and start again. Obviously all of the Logos resources (books) will have to redownloaded and indexed.
Please be aware that this is, a 'last resort' option and at your own risk. If you have carefully checked folders in step 11 you should be OK. If you make a mistake you can always go to the Trash, select file and/or folder, right click and choose 'Put Back'
Good luck! Let us know how you go. If you want to confirm anything before this drastic step pls reply to this post with any questions before you proceed.
Did all this, and still my L5 crash;(
