l4 Won't Startup

When I click on the Logos icon, I get the Logos image as it tries to start up, but it never completly starts. It just hangs there. Task manager does not show it running as an application, but shows it running as a process twice.

Has anyone had this issue and solved it. If I re-run the set-up program, I get a message that says that everyting is up to date.

My fear is that I will have to uninstall and then re-install. What is the proper way to uninstall so that the reinstall will work?

I downloaded, did not install using the DVD.

I appreciate this forum and the participation and help that everyone provides.

George, I need to know your computer specs (as per mine below)

As a start you might check the installation of .NET 3.5 in Control Panel and attempt a Repair (depending on OS you get the option after you click a Change/Uninstall icon or the option is on the Taskbar).

Dave, thanks for reading and responding. Per your reply, I tried to repair Net 3.5. But, it never came to an end. It ran for about 2 hrs, so I finally ended it. How long should it run?

Here is the info on my system.

Dell Dimension, Intel Core 2 CPU 6300, 1.86 GHZ, 2 GB RAM, Windows XP Professional SP3.

I don't know, but it didn't take more than 15 minutes to install, so that sounds suspect! Restart your computer in Safe mode and try again.

If that fails, I would uninstall (in Safe mode) and re-install normally from MS Download (just Google). Also make sure all updates for it are installed.

Did you let L4 install .NET3.5 or was it already on your computer?
