See this thread for the Clause search problem with subject:Jesus

subject:God  and subject:God the Father with verb:to love: appear to miss these verses:-

  1. 1 Cor 2:9
  2. Jas 2:5

    I think that's because God is the object in those clauses that contain the verb "to love".

    In both of those examples, it does seem like God could be taken as the subject.  But if He is the subject, then the verb is not "to love" in either case.  "God has prepared" are the subject and verb of 1 Cor 2:9.  And "God chosen" in Jas 2:5 with a second clause with "he has promised."  In both cases, God is the object of the love of his people.  But He is actively doing something else.

    That's just what I see anyway.  Then again, I am taking English this semester and it is my lowest grade, haha.
