Textual Criticism of the Hebrew Bible 3rd ed by Emanuel Tov. 0800696646, 978-0800696641.
Maybe we should wait for the fourth edition ;-) but anyway this would be a good one to have in Logos.
Count me in
Me too!!![8-|]
I will purchase this electronically on any platform that provides it. I would be delighted if Logos would do this.
It would be great to see this book in Logos. [Y] It has also been recommended elsewhere:

I agree... it is a very suitable product for Logos!! [Y]

[Y] This would be good in Logos.
Was thinking about this book a few weeks ago and again wishing it was available in Logos.
What say, Faithlife?
This work is a standard in the field. Both the third and fourth auditions are in Accordance. The Faithlife team should definitely prioritize shipping this.
FL had it a few years back, but had to pull it for some reason.
The typesetting in Tov’s TC is extremely complex. I think Accordance had to put in a lot of extra development and demonstrate to the publisher that they could actually do the digital typesetting correctly. Is this correct (re: Acc development) @Rick Mansfield (Logos) or @Mark Allison or am I dreaming this up?
I commented on this thread in 2012. I'm going to be a pest and comment again 13 years later! 🧛♂️
Please… with Logos' market base, we could and should bring this onto the platform. A few weeks ago, there was a thread about a paucity of Hebrew textual criticism products.
Well, if they had to embarrassingly pull the newly minted Tov TC, with hebrew expertise on board at FL, imagine now with limited expertise. Plan another 13. 🧛♂️
It's interesting that I started this thread exactly ten years before the 4th edition was released. I was only joking at the time, but unfortunately no one is really surprised that Logos hasn't released this. Perhaps they're waiting for the 5th edition, not the fourth.
I have no recollection, and with only a couple of exceptions, I wasn't really involved in book development when I was with Accordance.
Regardless, I'm genuinely surprised that we don't have this title in Logos. I've already reached out to Fortress this morning to request a license.
When Logos finally shipped it, David Knoll found quite a few errors in the hebrew. Then, it got pulled, the talk, being the publisher.
So, Fortress Press does not have digital rights to the 4th edition. I have emailed Dr. Tov asking him if we can license directly from him; of if there is another party with licensing rights to let me know.
I got it and a few days after it got pulled. FL allowed us to keep a copy or a refund for those who didn’t want it.
Stupid me thought having the hardback was good enough. I had to turn my Logosian decoder ring in, after that.
That happened to me with an expansion that accidentally had the Biblia Hebraica Quinta. I returned the wrong expansion and the HBQ got pulled from the expansion that had it for dirt cheap. When I tried to repurchase HBQ was no longer included 🤦🏻♂️ Silly me! Now I’m just waiting for a good sale that hasn’t happened yet 😑
FYI: Dr. Tov's Textual Criticism of the Hebrew Bible is now available for pre-order! https://community.logos.com/home/leaving?allowTrusted=1&target=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.logos.com%2Fproduct%2F409035
Thank you, Rick!
I settle for the 3rd Edition that I got to keep when it was pulled a few days after it released from prepub years ago.
