Entering an abbreviation in the command box

The normal abbreviation for the Hebrew-Aramaic Lexicon of the Old Testament is "HALOT". When I enter this in the find box in my Library, it shows up. But if I enter "HALOT" in the command box, it does not appear,, although it does if I enter "HAL". This is technically a minor resource bug, I suppose.

The abbreviated title for this resource is "HAL" - you can change this to HALOT if you like. I do agree that the latter should be the abbreviation. Maybe add it to the metadata sticky.

I changed the Anchor Yale Bible Dictionary abbreviation from AYBD to ABD....

That makes sense, since that I believe that is the standard SBL abbreviation. I don't know if this has changed now that Yale publishes it.

The library box searches much more information than the command bar. It also searches the product description, for example, which is why "targum" brings up the commentary on Job. In this case, the term HALOT appears in the "alternate title."

The command bar only looks at the title and abbreviated title fields. I have edited the abbreviated title field and changed it to HALOT.

I agree that this is a resource bug - the abbreviation of HALOT is standard.

I figured this, but I could not find out what other metadata it was finding "targum" under.

This type of thing makes the automatic collections more finicky. You have to make sure you don't get something you don't want, even if it is picking it up in a way that is not obvious.

It has seemed to me fromt the time that Yale took possession that "Anchor Yale Bible Dictionary / Commentary" was a rather strange title. It's not that I object to Yale showing that they now own the resource, but "Yale Anchor Bible Dictionary / Commentary" seems to be a better choice.
