New to Mac

I just replaced my laptop with a Macbook air and I love it. Logos seems to work great on it except for the PB tool. It is utterly unusable. I want to build all my personal books on my mac but I can not navigate. The lag makes it so I am unable to navigate. Any suggestions?
Also does anyone have suggestions for some mac apps I should look at?

After encountering some PB build issues in an older Logos 4 Mac release, copied compiled lbspbb files from Logos 4 on Windows 7, then used scan command on Mac to copy and index them.

LibreOffice is free, which can be used to create docx files for Logos Personal Book Tool.
Apple includes a number of useful applications; wiki has => http://wiki.logos.com/Logos_4_Mac#Mini_FAQ with several Apple links for question: New to Mac OS X?

The scan command sets a path to scan the next time Logos is launched. After entering scan command, need to quit Logos and start so the Indexer will look in the scan path for resources that are licensed for use, which includes your lbspbb files. The Indexer discovers and copies files into your Logos4 folder, then indexes them. Hence, can copy lbspbb files to many locations on your Mac, except your Logos4 folder and the trash. One option is copying the lbspbb files to USB drive, then scan the USB drive. The scan command is:
scan /Volumes/<label>
replacing <label> with the USB device label. The Finder shows Devices on your MacBook Air, which includes USB drives. The name of the device is the label. After Logos Indexer has completed scan copying and indexing, can eject USB drive.
Book covers are sync'd by Logos as part of the Personal Book metadata.

Thank you so much! That was much faster than rebuilding them all on my mac.

Rejoicing with you [:D] plus scanning keeps metadata in sync so can use Personal Book in shortcut and/or prioritization in several Logos installations.

Btw, is there a quick way to determine which 12 resources did not download to my mac? I have 10,243 on the desktop and 10,231 on the mac.

Just a guess, but it is probably your older Logos 2 or 3 resources that may never have been updated, such as E4. You can make sure your resources are up to date on the PC and then copy the resources to a thumb drive (if they will fit) and then perform the scan function on the Mac having it scan the thumb drive similar to how you performed it to move over your PBBs. It should find all those books and index them in.

Thanks John, you were exactly right, it was some old E4 resources.
