Is it just in beta 2 that the home page no longer has blogs or news or pre-pubs? I just see option to have excerpts or devotionals.

Yes.
When I clicked on customize those were the only options - except for reordering the ribbon.
Weird. Correction. They are all there now after a restart. Maybe lost when I had my computer in sleep mode?
