L5 Mac stability problems — some suggestions

I have had a few random non-reproduceable crashes in L5, not all the time, just often enough to be annoying. While trying to track down some non-L5 stability problems with my mac, I tried a couple of things and have noticed that I haven't had an L5 crash since:

I completely removed SIMBL, SIMBL Enabler for Sandbox, and SIMBL plugins (Afloat, Menu & Dockless), and completely removed Intego Virus Barrier.

It could just be a coincidence, but if you're having random problems and happen to have any of those installed (or any other SIMBL plugins), its worth a shot.

They can't be fixed until they are identified. Please post a description of your problems along with log files.

The most convenient was to enable logging is to use AppleScript application by KS4J. (Restart of Logos needed after enabling)

Then use Logos Log Scribe to create an archive of the logs on your desktop.

Use the paperclip on the message prep window to attach.

I run my MBP pretty much with factory installed software as I am a minimalist. There are a very few things like Growl that I could take off, but it has led me to believe if Logos is that temperamental, then the software needs to get fixed rather than me removing everything except OSX and Logos. Further, nothing else on my MBP comes even close to crashing as much. Like Jack said, I suggest submitting logs with your crash reports so that we can get it fixed and so that it can coexist with other quality software apps.

I happened to be using VirusBarrier X6 for a while, no known trouble with Logos so far.

... you can make Logos related Apps, Folders and Files as Trusted. Simply drag and drop. When I am doing massive downloading and / or indexing I just go to preference -> Advanced -> to turn off Real-time Scanning.
