Now that Logos has entered the 5.x era and the vast majority of Logos users that use a Mac are at Snow Leopard or higher, has there been any fresh consideration to using Grand Central Dispatch in OS/X? This would in my particular case allow for a much higher cpu utilization. Currently Logos can only use 4 of the 8 core threads available on my Mac Pro.

I am not memory constrained nor will be in practical concerns be I/O constrained due to a direct PCI attached SSD that runs about 800 megabytes per second peak and 160,000 IOPS peak. In perspective that is probably 3x or more of the typical SSD that would go into a laptop or desktop.

I didn't see any follow up on this, and I guess Logos staff may be not allowed to comment, officially or unofficially, but this is a technology built into OS X which would give a tangible benefit for Mac users. If we have to be disadvantaged by Mono, compared to Windows Logos users, maybe that can be offset by us being advantaged by Logos using this Apple technology in Logos 5. Now that Logos 5 runs on 64 bit OS X (Snow Leopard and above) there is no need to hold back!
