It would be nice if I had the ability to right click a name and send it to bible facts
Actually Blair, if the place, name, or event is tagged in the resource that option is available
I checked and it does not appear Domitian appears in the Bible Facts database (yet)
Ahh.. Missing tag...
For Biblical Facts I am pretty sure it is a tagging issue. The resources (dictionaries, encyclopedias, etc.) are not searching tags, rather they are likely searching headwords
I tried to right click Nero, and it still does not work. None of the names in the article I am reading (logosres:nigtcrev;ref=Page.p_5) are working. If you have access to the article, would you be willing to test yours? I know Nero is linked to bible facts. I think bible facts only works for linking names in bibles, I don't think it works for non bibles, at least it is not for me. It would be a big process to find every name in every book. But, if there was a feature that would just copy the name, and past it into bible facts, it would be easy. Kinda like a send to feature..
I checked that volume of the NIGTC and I am seeing the same as you when right clicking the name. As we have both seen, Domitian does not appear in the Bible Facts Database, but I also checked Nero and he does appear in the database. I think the problem lies in the NIGTC tagging. I checking several other names in that resource (Moses, Zechariah, Elijah, John, and Jesus) none appear to be tagged as people.
Can you confirm a resource other then the bible links to bible facts that way? None of the books I have tried works..
I believe the LBD works, and your Base Package Bibles will have the tags working as well. Hope this helps!
Lbd is not working for me either, I have not tried every name, however the ones I did try did not work
My guess is because the instance you are looking at isn't a headword. Most likely (from my limited understanding of the system) the article content isn't fully tagged. However, it should work in your Bibles.
Indeed, it does work in my bibles, but it does not work for other books that I am aware of.
Ok I am seeing what you are seeing in LBD
I don't believe that bible facts is designed for other books then the bible. That's why I was hoping to see it in logos 5, it would help streamline study.
I keep it linked on my shortcuts for quick access. Not exactly ideal but it will get you to them quickly for a search.

I tried to right click Nero, and it still does not work.
There's a reason it's called Bible Facts.[;)] It's meant to be used from your Bible, and I don't think you'll find Nero or Domitian mentioned by name there.[:)]
That is a good point!

My thought was, being able to link the bible world to bible facts. What I mean is the bible was written over various times, cultures etc. Key to our understanding of the bible is knowing who, what, when, where, and why certain things were written. True it was all inspired by God, but it was written by men in various cultures. Maybe the answer is to have a separate guide for bible background stuff rather linking to bible topic. But, seeing as bible topic is already in place it would probably be easier to use that as the platform for the background info. The timeline links to a lot of information, but it is just a window not really a guide.
That window does not link to pictures like the topic guide does, but the topic guide does not link to as many articles as the window in the timeline does
I would be cool if there was more integration
