Is there something wrong wtiht the Default font in Logos 4?

So far I was able to use LHI (lexham interlinear hebrew bible) with the Logos 4 programme set on Default font. The interlinear worked fine. Now I see several Q's, capital q-s in the interlinear line. Does the default font not work with my windows 7 home edition 64 bit?

Could you post a screenshot, please?

If you have problems with Default Font then you can always switch to any Unicode font, Arial Unicode for example. It works, I guess. Also, you may try to find famous (but old now) Cardo 2000 font in your Font directory which was designed to work with Hebrew and Greek

Can we just confirm we are looking at the same passage - Lamentations 1:2?

I see differences in the lexical value for some of the words - for example, I have "and tear she" while you have "and tear her". This makes me wonder whether we have different versions of LHI. Mine is:

Also what setting do you have for "Hebrew Transliteration Format"?

(I don't know Hebrew so may be taking you down some wrong tracks here but something just didn't look right!

Apparently it is not, I have changed it and does not make any change. There are still many Q's. Could somebody tell me where I can find this default font. It may be locked.

It works with Default Sans Serif. With Default it gives many Q's. This gives me the impression that my Default font is corrupted. Is there any way to restore it?

Given the difference in resource information between you and Graham, it's more likely that it's a resource issue that a font issue (fonts are embedded in Logos, and aren't available outside the application).

Try typing update resources in the command bar, and see if any updates are available.

I have tried this before. But then it said that there were no updates available. On another computer I also have Logos 4 and this one does not have the problem and has the same version of LHI.

You could try hiding and unhiding the resource. That would trigger a download.

What I think could be the issue is that one time I have made accidentily my user files (in Windows 7 home edition 64 bits) hidden and then I undid this, but it may be the case that some of the files are still hidden. I noticed that there was a problem with a programme called paratext, which I had to reinstall.

I doubt if this is what is causing the problem as you can reference the LHI

One thought has occurred to me - the LHI was updated for Logos 5 (which is what I have) and I know you are on L4. It is possible that the updated version isn't available for L4 so your version may be the most up to date. Unlikely but maybe possible.

It would be useful if someone still running L4 and with the LHI can check the version they have and see which it matches.

I have the 2011, so that must indeed be the latest version for L4. However, I do not have any Q's that shouldn't be there. Checked with the same transliteration format and all.

Start by going to C:\Windows\ServiceProfiles. As you click through each folder, you will probably have to give permission to access each one. Once you do that, you should be able to see the file.

Yes, it is (by WPF) after you reboot.

The issue is solved. I did not do anything myself, but today there were some new updates of windows7 and now the Q's have disappeared. Thank you all for thinking with me and your good advice.
