Why not?

I just did a bible search on the word "holy" in the OT including "all bibles", but strangely it did not include the Tanak in its results. I was particularly interested in that translation since I keep it linked to my BHS. That way I could find all of the Hebrew words which were translated as "holy" whether it was the standard קדשׁ or something else (what? – apparently not).

BTW: I was interested in whether it was used of being holy to anyone or anything other than Yahweh. It is used otherwise only as being "holy to Aaron."

I had better luck than you for some reason. My search with my open Bibles came up with lots of holies, also in the two Jewish Bibles there.

My All Bibles Collection is just way too big. I need to get some of the Dead Seas Scrolls out of that collection....

I just purchased the 1985 version, as it is only $10 now. Both versions show up in my All Bibles search. I prioritized them so they show up in positions 9 & 10 in the list:

That's strange. I reran the search since I had killed it. Now the 1985 version shows up, but the 1917 version doesn't.

I thought I might elaborate a bit on what I was seeking to find. In Robertson Smith's Lectures he states

The fundamental principle by which this is regulated is that the sanctuary is holy, and must not be treated as a common place. The distinction between what is holy and what is common is one of the most important things in ancient religion, but also one which it is very difficult to grasp precisely, because its interpretation varied from age to age with the general progress of religious thought. To us holiness is an ethical idea. God, the perfect being, is the type of holiness; men are holy in proportion as their lives and character are godlike; places and things can be called holy only by a figure, on account of their associations with spiritual things. This conception of holiness goes back to the Hebrew prophets, especially to Isaiah; but it is not the ordinary conception of antique religion, nor does it correspond to the original sense of the Semitic words that we translate by "holy." While it is not easy to fix the exact idea of holiness in ancient Semitic religion, it is quite certain that it has nothing to do with morality p 141 and purity of life. Holy persons were such, not in virtue of their character but in virtue of their race, function, or mere material consecration; and at the Canaanite shrines the name of "holy" (masc. cĕdcshīm, fem. cĕdcshōth) was specially appropriated to a class of degraded wretches, devoted to the most shameful practices of a corrupt religion, whose life, apart from its connection with the sanctuary, would have been disgraceful even from the standpoint of heathenism. But holiness in antique religion is not mainly an attribute of persons. I was curious whether the term "holy to" was applied to things or persons other than God (in the sense of "consecrated to"). What I found is that certain things are holy to Moses, Aaron, the priests (after all, they are temple officiants), but not to say, the king. The word definitely has a sacral context.

Well, for one that's a different search from what you first said. ( "Holy" vs "Holy to the Lord". )

Also, how are you determining that a certain version is not showing up? Are you just scrolling though all the results? Are you aware that the search results are paged when viewing in verses mode? I have 17 pages of search results for "Holy", but only one page of results for "Holy to the Lord".

Grid mode is the preferred mode to use to determine which versions have hits when searching a large collection.

I do get results from both Tanakh versions when searching on "holy to the lord".

It's quite possible that I changed the search from when I first did it. I recalled the passage where the High Priest has "Holy to the Lord" on his turban. Yes, I'm aware that results are paged when there are a large number of returns. I really prefer to see the results by verses rather than in a grid.

Upgraded what? I'm running Logos 5, Silver.

Still shows $10 on the website to me.

Edit: Well, it seems I need to go through the upgrade link to purchase all my resources, even though I've already upgraded. That seems weird. I'll give Logos the $5 difference this time. They've been good to me in the past.
