Not perfect, perhaps; however, very very, very good. I wish to commend you this afternoon for looking after your customers after the sale. I think this is the largest resources update I have ever seen in my many years with Logos.

Have quite some resources updated (670 mb) but exact number unknown.

But is there any way to find somewhere what is exaclty updated? typos, tagging etc. I wuold like to know what has improved

You can see which resources were updated in the "latest updated" column in your library. I too wonder why so many updates. Possibly tagging associated with new features of L5. [:)] My download was also 670 mb and affected 368 resources.

No, often asked for but does not exist. It would be typos or new/updated/corrected tagging, there would be no new features per se although updates could cause a resource to show up in some search now.

IMHO as fun as this would be, it would need to be software written that tracks edited changes, turns a series of keystrokes into something logical, and explains why the update. This of Microsoft Word's "track editing changes" which just shows what is different but not why; without the why, seeing the changes might not make much sense to us.

There could be thousands of edits in this update we just got, I think Logos made the decision that it's better to spend the time fixing typos and adding tags then doing a whole lot less of that but telling us what they did do. I think I agree with that!

It's a guess, but I think the resource updates are to do with the new community highlighting feature. That feature is ready and is released, but has performance issues, so has been turned off at the server. We've been told that the problem will be fixed without requiring a program update. I think it likely, therefore, the performance issue is being caused the way certain resources have been compiled, and those resources are now being recompiled ready for this new feature.

We will usually try to put something on the forum if it's easy to categorize or explain, and is not top secret [:D]. The majority of the recent updates were simply a file format change, from .lbxlls to .logos4. Doing this has various technical advantages, and I believe one is called "patching", which dramatically lowers the download size the next time a resouce is updated. There is still lots of .lbxlls files floating around, and we will be gradually moving those over to .logos4 in the coming months.
